The government of Malaysia and Singapore has agreed to terminate the HSR Agreement in light of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy. Both countries will abide by their respective obligations, and will now proceed with the necessary actions, resulting from this termination of the HSR Agreement.
Earlier the Malaysian government has proposed several changes to original project plans, on which both countries had not been able to reach an agreement.
