City of Teresina in Brazil is set to launch bidding process for the public lighting project. Teresina is a city located in northeastern Brazil in the state of Piauí. The mayor has signed the authorization to begin the bidding process for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The bidding is expected to be released by the end of May 2019.
The city hall has already initiated the consultation procurement process, and in reply to the notice issued by authority 245 contributions were received from 11 companies. PPP of public lighting will increase Teresina's energy park by improving the service for the population. The first areas to be benefited will be the Center of the city and the North and South Zones. In first 2 years BRL 130 million (US$ 32.70 million) will be invested in the project. The PPP is a delegation, but the ownership of the service continues with the City of Teresina.
