The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) in Colombia has launched a tender seeking private developer for Troncales del Magdalena corridors Puerto Salgar-Barrancabermeja (TM1) and Sabana de Torres-Curumaní (TM2). The total length of the highway covered under these concessions is 531km. The road acts as the main freight corridor of Colombia and connects the interior with the north coast. The total investment value for both corridors is COP3.70 billion (US$0.94 million).
The first tender is for TM1 concession which involves works on a 259.6km long highway corridor connecting Puerto Salgar to Barrancabermeja. The scope of works involves the construction of 146.4 km of second road and variants, improvement works on 147.9 km of existing road, and rehabilitation of 5.08 km of the existing road. The second tender is for TM2 concession which involves works on a 272.1 km long road corridor connecting Sabana de Torres to Curumani. The scope of works involves the construction of 129.3 km of second road and variants and improvement works on 116.2 km of the existing road.
