The Costa Rican government has announced the progress of the 27ha Hernán Garrón Salazar cruise terminal and marina in Limón, Costa Rica.
Before the end of 2023, the government plans to announce a tender for the project in an effort to entice finance from foreign companies. The Hernán Garrón Salazar Terminal plan covers an area of 27 hectares. It includes the construction of a building for cruise passengers, local businesses, restaurants, handicrafts markets, hotels, parking lots, and urban integration areas.
This project is intended to develop the country’s tourism industry. The government has planned to launch a tender for the scheme before the end of the year, and is expected to attract funding from international investors.
