The Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Infrastruktur (KIAT) has sought to identify and engage the services of a suitable organization or joint venture/consortium to undertake the Regional Water Supply (RWS) Planning and Development activity in Indonesia.

The main goal is to support MPWH DitWS in creating viable and sustainable rural water supply (RWS) systems, bolstering water security for communities. By improving the governance of these systems, the activity aims to enhance their viability and attractiveness for future investments. Ultimately, this effort ensures the long-term delivery of safe and inclusive piped water supply services to communities.

This activity aims for DGHS and stakeholders to endorse ongoing RWS reviews and agree on pre-feasibility assessments for two new RWS sites. Component A of the activity involves technical support for analyzing critical issues in five ongoing RWS schemes. In Component B, technical assistance is provided to DitWS to plan two new RWS schemes, incorporating lessons from Component A and following the "RWS Planning and Stakeholder Engagement Guidelines." The Contractor will aid in developing sustainable and bankable water supply investments by conducting a comprehensive Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for the two locations. This study will cover institutional arrangements, climate assessment, demand analysis, design concepts, costing, implementation schedule, social and environmental assessments, GEDSI action plan, land acquisition, resettlement, and funding strategy.

The tender submission deadline is November 28, 2023. More information about this tender can be found on our Business Opportunity page here.
