The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has postponed the announced starting date of the tender process for the development of the University Hospital PPP in Almaty.

The planned start date of the 2nd stage tender for selecting a concessionaire was January 31, 202 with the scheduled announcement of the winner on February 28, 2022. One of the reasons for the changes in the tender process is that compulsory tender documentation still has not received approval.

The project involves the development of a multi-disciplinary 300-bed hospital, which includes as well healthcare, medical education and medical science. The selected private partner will be responsible for financing, creating and operating a social infrastructure and life support facility. The concession period will be 18 years, including 38 months of the construction period.
