Kyaukphyu Special Economic Zone Management Committee in Myanmar has launched two tender notices seeking private firms to provide technical consultancy services for the development of a deep seaport facility at Kyaukphyu Special Economic Zone. The project involves the design, build, finance, operation, maintenance, and transfer of Yanby Island terminal, the Made Island terminal, abridge connecting the two islands, and approximately 15 km access road to Kyaukphyu Special Economic Zone Industrial Park.
The first tender notice seeks a technical consultant to provide geological, topographic, hydrological, and meteorological information as well as other features of the Project site by technical means of engineering geological exploration, geotechnical experiment, topographic survey, bathymetric survey, meteorological and hydrological data collection and observation. The second tender notice seeks a technical consultant to provide Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project. The consultant will scope, investigate and report the EIA process of the project in accordance with the Myanmar EIA procedure to obtain an Environmental Compliance Certificate.
