The National Commission for Strategy and Prognosis, an entity of the Romanian government, has launched a tender for the construction and operation of a multifunctional clinic within the National Institute of Infectious Diseases in Bucharest. The project will be structured as a public-private partnership (PPP).
The project envisages the construction of two buildings with a total surface area of approximately 51,000 m², on several levels, comprising an emergency department, ambulatory unit, intensive care units, consulting rooms, imaging and radiotherapy facilities, pharmacy, heliport, lecture hall and classrooms for students, laboratories, research block, meeting rooms, changing rooms, visitors' rooms, technical spaces, and more.
The estimated value of the project is RON650.7 million (US$160.0 million). The duration of the PPP contract will be 17.5 years (210 months).
