Tender launched for Roads and Infrastructure development project in Al Kheesa North and East

The Public Works Authority (PWA) has launched a tender for the development of Al Kheesa North & East residential areas
located approximately 15 km north of Doha and about 2.1 km east of Al Shamal Road located in Zone 70, Al Daayen Municipality, Doha, Qatar.

The Project Area covers an area of approximately 1218 ha and most of the land uses on site are currently under development. The project area is split into 6 different packages, P02 to P07 for design purposes. For tender, these have been combined as follows:

  • DN071-P02 & P04 forms Package DN071-P02;
  • DN071-P03 & P05 forms Package DN071-P03;
  • DN071-P06 has been re-named as DN071-P04; and
  • DN071-P07 has been re-named as DN071-P05.

The present tender pertains to Package 03, consolidating sub-packages P03 and P05, with DN071 Al Kheesa North & East divided into six separate packages. Specifically, Al Kheesa North and East (Rawdat Al Hamama District) under P03 involves the comprehensive infrastructure design for approximately 323.27 ha of residential development. The DN071 site is bordered by the existing Al Khor Highway/Expressway, the proposed Orbital (Truck) Road, Al Majd Road, and Arab League Street. The current state of the DN071-P03 site includes a mixture of existing residential villas and compounds, commercial developments, schools, mosques, farmland, utility plants, parkland, and open space. The primary objective of this project is to implement complete infrastructure within the designated area, encompassing roads, surface water network, foul sewerage, landscaping, Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE), and other utilities as necessary to complement the existing potable water, electricity, and communications networks.
