Peabody Trust in London, UK has launched a tender notice seeking a private partner for phases 2 and 3 of the South Thamesmead regeneration project.
The regeneration project aims to deliver a new waterfront district with 11,500 new homes. Phase 2 of the project involves the construction of 329 homes and up to 1,050 sqm of community space while phase 3 will include the development of up to 1,950 homes and 3,225 square meters of commercial floorspace.
In phases 2 & 3, the selected private partner will develop housing quarters with approximately 730 homes at a 3.1 hectares site located in Harrow Manorway. The site is split between a northern plot (Phase 2) and a southern plot (Phase 3). The estimated investment value of the project is GBP300 million (US$399.80 million).
