Amiens Métropole has issued a tender seeking a private partner to operate an anaerobic digestion plant in the municipality, located in northern France.
The plant commenced operations in October 1988 and has capacity to treat 105 000 tonnes of waste per year. The scope of the project includes operation and maintenance of all equipment and buildings of the plant, management of all the by-products of the anaerobic digestion process and marketing of the energy produced.
The total estimated value of the concession is EUR205 million (US$232.7 million), with the contract to last 15 years. The deadline to submit the bids is 20 May 2019.
