The Government of Jalisco in Mexico has announced a call for a proposal seeking bidders for the Line 4 light rail (LRT) connecting Tlajomulco de Zuniga to Guadalajara in Mexico.
The 21-km long rail line will have 8 stations at Periférico Sur, Adolf B. Horn, Concepcion del Valle, San Sebastian, La Fortuna, Centro Universitario, Tlajomulco Centro and Las Juntas. The authority has already begun preliminary construction works for the project works. The project is being procured under the Public-Private partnership (PPP) with a co-investment modality. The concession works also involve the development of 13 road nodes, rehabilitation of the urban surroundings of the station and the construction of safe pedestrian crossings.
The deadline to submit the proposal is September 21, 2022. The authority has scheduled to sign the concession contract on October 5, 2022. The line 4 LRT will be operated through fully electric trains. Once complete, it is expected to serve 106,000 users per day. The project is scheduled to be operational by the second half of 2024.
