The Worthing Borough Council (WBC) in the UK has launched a tender seeking economic operators to finance, design, build, operate and maintain a heat network using a corporate concession model.
The PPP project intends to provide heat to approximately 22 existing buildings in Worthing town centre, including both Worthing Hospital (and satellite buildings) and Splashpoint Leisure Centre and a further five large development sites. The estimated value of the contract is between GBP50- 250 million (US$65.02- 325.12 million).
