Société du Grand Paris in France has launched tender notice seeking a private partner for Technical, commercial operation and maintenance of the Grand Paris Numérique fixed network project. The project includes the development of a very high-speed fiber-optic electronic communications network in the Paris Metro in the Ile-de-France region. The scope of works involves the operation of a fiber-optic electronic communications network and the design and establishment of extensions to this network, which could involve carrying out works and purchase/rental of additional services required for the network.
The concessionaire will be required to equip (electrical and telecom wiring, air conditioning, etc.) and operate the various infrastructures made available by the Société du Grand Paris, in particular, technical premises located in the structures.
The concessionaire will also market the network to commercial operators for the supply of digital services in the territories along the Grand Paris Express zone. It is also likely to provide capacity for mobile and Wi-Fi equipment in stations, on platforms and in tunnels.
The concessionaire will maintain the network of tubes and optical fibers and the accommodation spaces deployed along the 200 km of the Grand Paris Express.
The concession period for the project is 25 years. The deadline to submit a response to the tender notice is January 20, 2020.
