Tender launched for defense housing in Norway

Forsvarsbygg (the Norwegian Defence Estates Agency) has launched a tender seeking private developer for military housing project at Ørland, Trøndelag county. The Norwegian Defence Estates Agency will over time, have a need to procure access to good down to earth flats for personnel who are connected to the ordering system in the Norwegian Armed Forces and others in the defense sector with a need for housing. The Norwegian Defence Estates Agency is responsible for establishing 100 to 200 flats for the service personnel at Ørlandet. The first PPP (Public-private partnership) contract is already awarded. The contract includes the construction of flats at Brekstad gård vestre.

This call for tenders involves Stage 2 of this project, with a new establishment at the Meieri site in the central area of Brekstad. This contract includes as a minimum the establishment of 68 flats and the construction of subterranean parking places, divided into the following:

  • minimum 65 three-room flats, with a minimum area of 60 m2 primary rooms,
  • minimum of 3 two-room flats, with a minimum area of 52 m2 primary rooms.
