Tender launched for construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ciudad del Este

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has launched the International Public Tender for the design and construction of the Wastewater Treatment and Final Disposal System in Ciudad del Este, Alto Paraná department, Paraguay.

With an estimated investment of approximately PYG 117 billion (US$ 15 million), the program includes the expansion and modernization of the drinking water network, the installation of new pipes, and the construction of a Drinking Water Treatment Plant (PTAP) with reservoirs. Additionally, a sanitary sewerage network will be implemented, featuring pipe placement and complementary infrastructures. The total estimated investment is USD 200 million, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) with USD 115 million and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with USD 85 million. Bid reception will end on August 12, 2024.
