The Government of Luis Arce and David Choquehuanca has launched the international tender for the construction of section I Oruro – Cruce Vinto – Cruce Huanuni, of the Oruro-Challapata double track, for an amount of BOB 394 million (USD 56 million) in Bolivia.
The project entails constructing a road spanning 19.8 km, featuring a dual-track configuration in urban areas and a pair of lanes in rural sections. The road will comprise two lanes in each direction, totaling four lanes, and will incorporate an overpass at the Huanacuni intersection. It will be constructed with rigid pavement, including two walkways and viaducts. The Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) will finance 80% of the project, with the remaining 20% financed by the Government of Oruro.
Interested companies can submit electronic proposals through the Single Registry of State Suppliers (RUPE), and the works are set to be awarded on March 12. The Ministry has invited specialized companies to submit their proposals by February 15, 2024.
