The University of South Carolina has launched a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for interested parties to develop the Health Sciences Campus PPP project in Columbia, USA.
The selected developer will provide a combination of design, build, finance, operate and maintain services to facilitate the development of a medical teaching building, a research building and associated site infrastructure on land owned by the University. The new medical education facility will require approximately 130,000 gross square feet of space. The building will include instructional and support spaces and will also accommodate other academic programs. The Research Building will require approximately 162,000 gross square feet.
The private partner will be a single point of contractual responsibility to the University to provide all approved services. The total project budget for the two facilities is estimated at US$300 million.
