Ypoyrgeio Ypodomon Kai Metaforon in Greece has launched a tender notice seeking a private partner for the restoration of the External Water Supply System (EYS) in Athens. The project is being procured under design, build, finance, operate, maintain and transfer (DBFOMT) model.
The selected consortium will be responsible for preparing the studies necessary for the construction design of the project, based on the applicable environmental conditions, and will arrange and expedite the obtaining of all necessary permits. In addition, it will undertake the operation and maintenance of the project, in accordance with the requirements of the partnership contract, the performance specifications and the operation and maintenance plan approved by the Contracting Authority.
The private partner will return the project to the Greek State in accordance with the provisions of the contract at the end of the Contractual Period, in exchange for the payment of availability payments during the operating period. The concession duration for the project is 20 years. The total investment of the project is EUR234.86 million (USD272.27 million).
