The Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Jordan has launched a request for qualifications (RFQ) seeking a private partner for the replacement of the King Hussein Bridge Crossing Terminal. The project will feature state-of-the-art truck and passenger handling facilities, including modern cargo and luggage scanning, multi-traffic lane entry and exit points with electric gates and check booths, a duty-free facility, and a medical emergency center.
The selected private partner will be responsible for financing, designing, building, maintaining and operating a new border crossing terminal. The authority expects to sign the PPP concession and achieve commercial close by the first quarter of 2023.
