The Maharashtra housing and area development authority has invited bidders for the Dharavi redevelopment project in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
The project involves the redevelopment of 240 ha of the Dharavi slum and the construction of free housing for eligible slum dwellers and occupants, including amenities and infrastructure. The site is connected to a road linkage to Bandra Work Sea Link near Dharavi.
The chosen lead partner will establish a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with 80% equity valued at INR4 billion (US$49.05 million) and 20% equity held by the Maharashtra government worth INR1 billion (US$12.26 million).
