ARISE IIP in Togo has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the development of a 390 MW solar PV plant with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) located in Togo. The BESS system will have a capacity of 200 MW and a 161 KvA substation to provide a connection with the grid.
The authority is looking for firms to award the project under following options:
The project will be financed by Arise IIP & JV partner. The information notice is intended for companies which have a relevant experience in the construction /development of large-scale solar power plant and power storage systems.

The New Partnership for Africa’s Development Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB) held discussions with the Infrastructure Project Preparation and Development Unit (PPDU) of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) based in Lomé, Togo, with a view to strengthening collaboration on the preparation of regional infrastructure projects in West Africa. The two institutions agreed to conclude an Operational Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to underpin their cooperation.
