Tender issued for 300 MW Floating Solar in India

NHPC Limited has launched a tender for a Floating Solar Power Project at Rengali Reservoir at Angul district in the state of Odisha, India. 

The chosen developers will be responsible for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) of the 300 MW Capacity Floating Solar Power Project and the associated 220 KV transmission line for connectivity at the 400 KV Grid substation along with Comprehensive Operation and Maintenance for 5 years.

The bidder should meet the following technical qualification criteria:

  • have designed, supplied, erected and commissioned Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MW;
  • should be the developer of the above plants;
  • should have executed in the last 10 years either as a developer or as EPC Contractor in the process industry or in infrastructure development of single work having a minimum value of INR1.50 billion (US$18.3 million);
  • should have executed at least 1 Electrical Sub-station of 33kV or above voltage level, either as a developer or as EPC Contractor.
