Tender issued for 300 bed UP-PGH Cancer Center PPP Project in Manila

The University of the Philippines (UP) -Philippine General Hospital (PGH) has invited interested parties to qualify and bid to design, construct, equip, and operate selected portions of a 300-bed comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Cancer Center in its Metro Manila campus. 

The Private Partner will: 

  • provide major medical equipment, initial and replacement;
  • undertake maintenance, facilities management, as well as non-clinical services including cleaning, catering, laundry, and security to the entire hospital;
  • provide all relevant commercial activities including parking, retail, food and beverage; and 
  • provide clinical services to private self-paying patients in a dedicated, clinically separate 150-bed area.

UP - PGH will provide clinical services free of charge to public patients (sponsored patients) in a dedicated, clinically separate 150-bed area and assume all related costs of clinical manpower, drugs, and consumables in that area and retain all teaching and research functions. The Project will follow a Build Transfer Operate (BTO) structure with a duration of 30 years. The estimated capital cost for the project is PHP6,051 million (US$108 million).
