NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has launched a tender process seeking a private developer for the Battery Energy Storage PPP project in the northwestern state of India.
The project involves the development of a 250 MW/500 MWh grid-connected standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) near Fatehgarh-III inter-state transmission system (ISTS) substation in Rajasthan. The selected bidder will be also responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the BESS for 12 years from the date of commercial operation start.
