Tender invited for District Road upgradation project in Durban

The Province of KwaZulu-Natal, Department of Transport, has invited tenders from contractors, experienced in roadworks, for Upgrading District Road D365 (KM 2+291 – KM 5+731) in the Durban Region, South Africa.

Project D365 is situated in Ward 15 of Ray Nkonyeni Local Municipality located in the Ugu District Municipality and is accessible from P198 via the N2 approximately 12km North of Port Shepstone. This provides access to several communities in the area such as Sea Park, Gwababeni, Cabhane, KwaMadlala and Sidobe. The scope of work may include the following classes of construction works and specialist works:

  • Class of construction works – Civil Engineering (CE); and
  • Specialist Works:
    • Asphalt works (SB);
    • Demolition and blasting (SE);
    • Piling (SJ);
    • Road marking and signage (SK); and
    • Structural steelwork fabrication and erection (SL).
