Tender in Planning for USD88 million Bridge Construction PPP Project in Peru

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) announced that it will carry out the second call for competition with the aim of awarding the Puente Santa Rosa project in Peru.

The project involves constructing a bridge, access roads, a roundabout, and overpasses. The bridge, spanning 65 m in length and 18.90 m in width, will be built over the Rímac River. The roundabout will serve as a junction connecting the Santa Rosa Bridge, Vía Expresa Santa Rosa, and Av. Morales Duárez. The Puente Santa Rosa initiative aims to ensure smooth access to Jorge Chávez Airport, facilitating integration with global air transportation networks.

This endeavor is anticipated to necessitate an investment of approximately PEN346 million (USD88 million). The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has been providing technical and legal support to the MTC team, streamlining the project's public tender process and aiming for a swift awarding. The project that will benefit more than 30 million passengers a year would be awarded in the following months.
