The City of Ghent, together with the municipality of Destelbergen, has launched a tender process to select a new private partner for the waste management of Ghent and Environs in Belgium.
The authorities established the Intermunicipal Association for Waste Management (IVAGO) with a goal to transfer competencies of the legal tasks regarding the organization of waste collection and processing activities. The contract period will be 18 years.
