The city of Diest has published a contract notice looking for a technical and financial advisor to support the mixed-use project in Deurne, Belgium.
The authority owns a site of 2.5 ha, which is partly located in a recreational area and partly in a residential area and forms the center of this sub-municipality. The area houses the municipal primary school, the after-school childcare and the meeting center (SOK) of Deurne, as well as the football fields and canteen of SK Deurne. The infrastructure is updated and no longer meets current needs.
The redesign involves the demolishing of all existing buildings and construction of new ones, relocation and renovation of the football fields, and creation of parking space. The project will be implemented in collaboration with a private partner, with the option to build apartments on top of the school.
The deadline to submit the request to participate is August 16, 2021. More information about this business opportunity can be found here.
