LTG Infra has announced a tender for the Procurement of design services for the Vilnius railway node in Lithuania.
The successful tenderer will be responsible for designing facilities and infrastructure, such as railway bridges, road overpasses, ecoducts, pedestrian underpasses bridges and railway tunnels, 1.10 km. The procedure of the procurement includes the Vilnius passenger station that intends to become the international Rail Baltica station for passenger services, the regional stations of Vilnius Airport and Lentvaris, the Vilnius intermodal terminal for cargo services, freight train 1435 mm route, connecting and approach railway roads.
The infrastructure tender is particularly for the Kaunas railway node and the design tenders for the regional stations in Kaišiadorys and Vievis. The infrastructure of the Vilnius railway node is expected to serve about 2.3 million passengers annually and carry 8.6 million tonnes of cargo.
The contracts with successful tenders are planned to be signed in the Q2 of 2023.
