The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking to appoint a private development partner for the delivery of a major mixed-use scheme on a 3-hectare site at Fountainbridge in Edinburgh. The development requirements for the site comprise of at least 436 homes and a separate office building. The proposals also include retail and commercial space which could be used for a variety of purposes. It is expected that the development partner would construct approximately 177 affordable homes, with ground-floor retail for the Council, while the office space, remaining residential units, and ground-floor retail/commercial space would represent a development opportunity.

The Council is seeking a partner who will work with the Council and the local community to deliver the vision for the site. For this to be achieved innovative delivery solutions will need to be found and both the procurement process and proposed contractual arrangements are designed with appropriate flexibility for this purpose.
