Utah Mountain School has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a high school building project in Ogden. Ogden is a city located north to the salt lake in the US state of Utah. This project will be done on a design, build and finance PPP model. The 7-9 Junior high school building will occupy 33,000 sq ft area. The facility will be constructed to occupy 400 students. The enrollment includes 150 students per grade with 225 as the minimum enrollment number. The school will operate with a model of STEM and SPED integrated curriculum with project-based learning. Technology will be used as a tool for hands-on learning and exploration.
Proposals submitted should include approximate building costs per square foot, approximate acreage and additional details on potential school sites, a proposed financing structure, a lease rate range and detailed terms of a purchase option for the school to be incorporated into the lease.
Utah Mountain School is expecting to complete the bidding and contracting process till September 2019 and begin construction in November 2019. The project is expected to be operational in August 2020.
