Ministry of Public Works in Chile arranged a video conference with interested bidders for Ruta 5 Chacao-Chonchi concession.
The authority discussed details for technical and economic aspects of the project with 15 interested companies which purchased the tender documents. The tender notice for the concession was launched on June 15, 2021, and the authority will accept the offers until November 26, 2021.
The estimated investment value for the Ruta 5 concession is US$503 million. The project includes the development of a 110 km long highway that will connect the communes of Ancud, Dalcahue, Castro and Chonchi in the Province of Chiloé.
