The Ministry of Public Works in Chile has extended the deadline to submit the response to its tender for the Punilla reservoir concession. More than 18 firms have purchased the bidding documents so far.
The selected private partner will be responsible for developing a storage reservoir with a capacity of 565 million cubic meters located in the mountain sector of the Ñuble Region, approximately 30 kilometers from San Fabián. The reservoir will also have a 137-meter-high dam with an ecological flow that ranges between 10 and 18 m3/s and the capacity to produce electricity.
