The project technical cooperation agreement signed by the National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ), MPor, the government of the State of São Paulo, the Port Authority of Santos (APS) and the Regulatory Agency for Delegated Public Transport Services of the State of São Paulo (ARTESP) for the Santos-Guarujá tunnel in Santos, São Paulo, Brazil.
Public Consultation was initiated to solicit input on the study and legal documents related to the public-private partnership (PPP) project for the planning, construction, operation, maintenance, and necessary investments for an immersed tunnel connecting the municipalities of Santos-Guarujá, situated in Santos. ARTESP is tasked with overseeing the public hearings concerning the project, while ANTAQ is responsible for monitoring the impacts on the operation of the Port of Santos from the planning stage through the execution of the tunnel construction. ANTAQ will continuously assess the effects on the Port of Santos' operation throughout all project phases.
