The Agency for the Promotion of Private Investment (PROINVERSIÓN) has received technical and economic offers for the execution of the hospital projects in Piura and Chimbote, Peru. 

IBT Health, LLC, the prequalified bidder, has submitted both technical and financial bids for the Specialized Hospitals in Piura and Chimbote. These projects encompass design, financing, construction, equipment, operation, and maintenance. Additionally, the projects involve the acquisition and replacement of equipment, the upkeep of hospital infrastructure, and the provision of general and support services. The provision of services will follow the gray robe modality, which includes 10 services such as laundry, food, security, solid waste management, cleaning, maintenance, equipment acquisition and maintenance, and intra-hospital logistics. Furthermore, there will be 3 services provided under the green robe modality: hemodialysis, clinical laboratory, and imaging. 

The projected investment for the 2 hospitals amounts to US$323 million. The concession period will span 20 years, comprising 3 years dedicated to conducting comprehensive engineering studies, construction, and equipment implementation, followed by 17 years of operation and maintenance. The official award ceremony for both hospitals is scheduled to occur on June 28, 2023.
