Amtrak has selected an AECOM-led team to support the development of the Susquehanna River Rail Bridge Project (SRB) in Maryland, USA.
The project's goal is to enhance rail connectivity and safety along the U.S. Northeast Corridor by replacing the existing 117-year-old two-track bridge in Maryland with two new bridges. These upgrades will increase capacity and enhance reliability for both freight and passenger trains. AECOM will offer various professional services, such as project management, design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and schedule management. Leading a skilled technical team of subcontractors, including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms (DBEs), the company aims to provide opportunities for individuals encountering social and economic challenges to participate actively and reap the benefits of the economic growth spurred by this initiative.
