The Hong Kong Hospital Authority has selected a joint venture between Cimic subsidiary Leighton Asia and China Railway First Group for a US$2.8 billion expansion of North District Hospital (NDH).
The team is set to build a 20-story acute block, accommodating 1,500 beds across 380,000 sq.m. Valued at US$1.6 billion, the contract has been awarded to Leighton Asia. A joint venture between Leighton Asia and China Railway First Group will undertake the primary construction tasks, encompassing the erection of the new acute block, a 20-story edifice spanning 380,000 square meters of construction floor area, along with a single basement level, a mezzanine floor, and assorted external and landscaping works.
