Tarn-et-Garonne Digital in France has awarded the optics fiber concession to Altitude Infrastructure. The project includes the development of fiber optic connection in 8 municipalities in France. The scope of work includes deploying optical fiber across the entire department of Tarn-et-Garonne. A total 102,000 local fiber optics connections will be deployed across the municipalities of Clermont-Soubiran, Grayssas, Saint-Antoine and Montrosier.
The contract value is EUR 220 million (US$ 248.54 million), out of which EUR 127 million (US$ 143.47 million) will be to establish the main connection and EUR 93 million (US$ 132.17 million) will be for the final connection and operating & maintenance of the network. Initial studies carried out by Altitude Infrastructure show that a total of 10,347 lines will be connected during the first year of construction (until March 2020), 34,309 lines until March 2021; 42,143 until March 2022, and finally 15,250 on the last phase until October 2022.
