The City of Helsingborg has issued a Request for Information (RFI) in order to investigate how the private sector can construct a fixed road and rail link between Helsingborg (Sweden) and Helsingør (Denmark), which is located 4 km across the Øresund Strait.

A road and train bridge-tunnel that connects Malmo (Sweden) with Copenhagen (Denmark) already exists between the two nations. Nonetheless, a bridge connecting Helsingborg and Helsingør would cut travel times to numerous Swedish destinations, including the important port and metropolis of Gothenburg.
