Surrey Health Borough council in the UK has canceled the procurement process for mixes-use area development concession in Camberley. The procurement was canceled due to economic uncertainty as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the potentially significant structural changes to the uses of town centers.
The project involves the development of around 350 residential units and 10,000 sqm of commercial space, together with public and private car parking on a 2.0 ha (5.5 acres) site located at London Road in Camberley. New structural changes challenged the proposed development and authority opted to drop the procurement process.
