The Colombia Ministry of Transportation has announced the beginning of the studies and designs for constructing the second road between Catambuco - Pasto.
The completion of these studies and designs will allow critical choices to be made about the construction of the second lane in the Pasto-Catambuco corridor. The ANI will be responsible for administering the phase III studies and designs, which will analyze the inclusion of the works requested by the communities within the context of the concessionaire's socialisations and approaches at the time. The studies and plans for phase III of the Pasto-Catambuco dual highway have begun, allowing for decisions on the financing of the 5.2-km project.
This project benefits the entire department of Nariño and directly the inhabitants of the municipalities of Ipiales, Gualmatán, Contadero, Puerres, Funes, Iles, Tangua, Yacuanquer, Imués and Pasto.
