SSH announced that the Tubli Bay Water Improvement (New Alba Bridge) public-private partnership (PPP) project in Bahrain was crowned winner of the MENA Road Infrastructure Project of the Year in association with Mashreq.
The project involves improving the regular circulation of seawater between Maamir and Tubli bays, which has improved water quality and preserved the characteristic ecological system. The project improved water quality by conserving water, increased the accessibility of the industrial area, increased job creation and expanded wildlife habitat in the area designated as a nature reserve for migratory birds.
The Tubli Bay Water Improvement project was awarded for high-quality work, adherence to schedule and customer satisfaction in a safe and healthy working environment. The project is part of a larger scheme of work managed by the Ministry of Works (MOW) to improve the environmental and flushing conditions of Tubli Bay.
