The Government of India has approved the formation of a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which will be responsible for the electricity distribution network in union territories of Diu, Daman, Dadara and Nagar Haveli. The SPV, DNH-DD Power Distribution Corporation Limited, will be a wholly-owned government company.
The selected bidder will be responsible for the electricity distribution network, which will have the capacity to carry nearly 25 BU of power to over 3.8 million customers and cater to a peak demand of over 5,000 MW.
