The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has successfully concluded the bilateral meetings to promote the Huancayo Railway projects -Huancavelica (FHH) and Carretera Longitudinal de la Sierra - Section 4 (CLS4) in Peru.
Gian Carlos Silva (FHH) and Norman Zegarra (CLS4) have captured the interest of leading Spanish firms renowned for their expertise in road and railway infrastructure development. Notable among these companies are ALDESA, SACYR, COPASA, RENFE, OHLA, and others, each of which is vital for the successful realization of these projects, with a combined estimated investment of approximately US$1.3 billion. The modernization of the Huancayo-Huancavelica Railway, also known as "Tren Macho," is anticipated to necessitate an investment of around US$340 million (excluding VAT).
Meanwhile, the Longitudinal Highway of the Sierra Section 4 stands as a monumental road project set to benefit over 1.6 million residents across the regions of Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho, and Apurímac. This initiative is poised to stimulate economic activity, enhance commerce, bolster industry, facilitate agriculture, and promote tourism in the region.
