South Africa launches a tender for Akukuza airport PPP

South African National Parks (SANParks) has invited prospective investors and operators to submit detailed bids for the operation, development, refurbishment, broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) and environmental obligations of Akukuza airport in the Kruger National Park.

SANParks will enter into a PPP agreement with the winning bidder for a period likely to provide a fair return on investment to the private party.

Interested parties are expected to obtain the Request for Proposal (RFP) document.

A due diligence site visit was arranged on 24th April 2013 to provide interested parties the opportunity to ascertain all information required to present informed bids.

Interested bidders will be required to submit detailed bids (containing specific financial, functional and BBBEE proposals), only in the format given in the RFP document, to SANParks physical address, no later than Friday, 5 July 2013 at 12:00.
