Sonoma County selects consultant for government offices

Sonoma County in California, USA has hired a principal consultant Project Finance Advisory Limited for the New County Government Center project. The project's objective is to replace aging buildings, reduce maintenance costs, improve access to County services, create opportunities for housing, strengthen local economy. The replacement works will be carried out for 500,000 square feet of county administrative offices; 10,000 square foot facility for the County Coroner; 1,200 square foot Public Health Laboratory; 11,000 square foot Emergency Operations Center; Parking garage with capacity of 2,000 automobiles; and Replacement of the existing Hall of Justice.

The Project Finance Advisory Limited will be paid US$ 300,000 for the services to the county. The scope of work will include preparing comparative financial analysis for location options for a potential new county government center and creating a community and staff engagement plan.

The joint city-county government voted to spend up to US$ 600,000 for the consultancy services on redeveloping their separate government complexes and other publicly owned lands.
