Solicitation of interest launched for redevelopment of Urban Government Center in Louisville

Louisville Metro Government (LMG) in Kentucky, USA has launched a solicitation of interest seeking a private developer for the redevelopment of urban Government Center located in Louisville. The scope of the project includes planning, design, structuring of financial resources, environmental remediation, construction, and historic rehabilitation. The 10-acre site will be developed using mixed-use design incorporating high-quality, economically diverse housing, modern and adaptable retail, commercial, office and/or hotel space along with integrated green spaces and multi-modal connectivity.

The scope of works involves the following tasks:

  • Mixed-use development compatible with the surrounding neighborhoods; 
  • One or more green certified (LEED or similar) buildings, new construction and/ or adaptive reuse;
  • A detailed plan for the treatment of the Baptist Hospital building; Landscaping, and hardscape (lights, furniture, sidewalks, etc.) that will make the Site an attractive amenity and compliment the surrounding neighborhoods;
  • Parking plan that corresponds with the proposed use(s); and
  • Community Benefits Agreement
