The National Infrastructure Agency has started installing the public lighting works on 9 km between Barranquilla and Puerto Colombia.
The installation incorporates LED lights powered by solar energy, spanning a 9-km stretch in functional unit 4 of the road corridor. Comprising 127 poles, 127 solar panels, and 254 luminaires designed for solar-powered operation, the certified Retilap system features an innovative design with arms, ensuring the necessary dimensions for the light source to meet the required parameters for a type M2 track.
The uneven intersection at Caracolí is situated within Functional Unit 5 of the Circunvalar de la Prosperidad. It facilitates direct transit along the Malambo – Caracolí departmental road for both vehicles and pedestrians. The objective of this infrastructure project is to enhance road safety for pedestrians and cyclists, enhance interconnection among various city points adjacent to the project, and optimize travel times.
