Skanska has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) to sell its 32% stake in LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP), the consortium responsible for the new Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport in New York, USA.
This definitive agreement with existing LGP partners Meridiam and Vantage Airport Group acquiring equal shares of Skanska's ownership in a transaction valued at US$115 million. Following the Skanska transaction, Meridiam's ownership in LGP will increase to nearly half, securing a 48% stake in the company. LGP, responsible for the investment, development, and operation of the reconstructed 35-gate terminal, recently completed the US$5.1 billion terminal project in July 2022. The LGP consortium, comprising Skanska, Meridiam, Vantage, and JLC Infrastructure in collaboration with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, successfully delivered the project.
